It all depends on what will be your main activity or watersport of choice, either surfing or kitesurfing. There are three main areas and here we’ll give you the best options for each of them. On our first trip we stayed in Kite Beach, and in our second trip we stayed in another area called Perla Marina, in a hotel called Natura Cabana.

If you want to do Kitesurfing in Cabarete, the Kite Beach is area where you should stay. The kitesurfing schools are all located on this beach so it’s very convenient if looking to spend many hours of the day having fun kitesurfing. You’ll find beginners just learning the sport for the first time, as well as seasoned pros handling their Kites in incredible ways!

On our first trip to Cabarete, we stayed at Kite Beach and absolutely loved it. The beach is very quiet and relaxing and it has great options for lodging in Hotels and Airbnbs. We also have to mention that the sunrises and sunsets in Kite Beach are incredible!

  • Cabareef: A small complex of very well located and comfortable apartments, right on the beach. We stayed there and would definitely come back if available, as they are often booked! For us was great because our Kitesurfing school was right outside! VIDEO

Cabarete Centro or Bay is where you’ll find the majority of hotels, restaurants, and coffee shops. On this beach, you can also do Kitesurfing as well as Paddleboarding in the mornings as the water is very calm.

4. Other places to stay in CABARETE:

  • Natura Cabana we stayed at the Natura Cabana eco resort as part of a yoga retreat that Claudia (@pia_yoga ) was leading. We absolutely loved it as it’s a beautiful space surrounded by nature and a very tranquil space. Each room is beautifully designed differently with different elements of the nature. The two restaurants of the hotel are also great. Finally, you can easily go walking to the surf beach area from this hotel. Totally recommended!

  • Cabarete Eco Lodge in Perla Marina.

  • Sea Horse Ranch for a more luxury stay
